This Privacy Policy explains what Captro collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. Captro is intended for people age 16 and older.

1. Who we are

Captro is a social app for sharing real moments through photos, stories, and conversation. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, email karfalacisse900@gmail.com.

2. Age requirement

Captro is for people age 16 and older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we may remove the account and delete or limit related information.

3. Information we collect

  • Account details such as email address, authentication provider identifiers, username, and profile information.
  • User content such as photos, stories, captions, comments, saved items, reports, and chat messages.
  • Usage and diagnostics information such as device type, crash reports, and app performance data.
  • Approximate or selected location information if you choose to add a place or display a city/country on a post.
  • Moderation and safety records including reports, blocks, abuse signals, and account enforcement decisions.

4. How we use information

  • To create and secure accounts, restore sessions, and support sign-in.
  • To publish posts and stories, deliver chat, and show feed, profile, and discover content.
  • To support likes, saves, comments, follows, notifications, and personalization.
  • To operate safety systems such as moderation, reporting, blocking, and spam or abuse prevention.
  • To improve stability, performance, and product quality.

5. Location information

Location is optional. If you add a place or choose to show a city/country on a post, Captro may use your selected place, approximate location, or profile location setting to display that information. We do not promise continuous live location sharing, and users can turn location display off where supported.

6. Service providers

Captro uses service providers to run the app. These may include Supabase for authentication and structured PostgreSQL data, Cloudflare for Workers, media storage, media delivery, video processing, CDN, security, upload validation, and moderation flows, plus Apple, Google, Mapbox, notification providers, analytics tools, and support tools where configured.

7. Messaging and safety review

Private messages are intended for participants in the conversation. If a message is reported for safety reasons, Captro may review the reported message and limited surrounding context to investigate abuse, protect users, enforce policies, or comply with law.

8. Retention and deletion

Captro keeps information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and support safety and moderation. Users can request account deletion inside the app. When deletion is requested, the account may enter a deletion-pending state before permanent deletion or anonymization.

9. Your choices

  • Update your profile, username, profile image, and post settings where available.
  • Use report and block tools to limit unwanted interaction.
  • Request account deletion from the app.
  • Control optional permissions such as camera, photos, notifications, and location from iOS settings.
